Back to School Donation Chesterfield County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and Jefferson Elementary School has partnered together for the 2025-2026 School Year. The partnership kicked off with a Back-to-School discretionary donation of $500 from Chesterfield County Alumnae Chapter and was presented to the school on Friday, August 8th. Principal, Mr. Charles Redfearn accepted the donation on behalf of the school and stated, " We are excited about the additional resources and support our students and staff will receive as a result of our new partnership. " Chapter President, Dr. Takeda LeGrand, stated, " We look forward to supporting the great work happening every day at Jefferson Elementary School which is aligned to several of our programmatic thrusts." Thanksgiving Outreach On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the Chesterfield County Alumnae Chapter gifted 15 seniors at the Chesterfield County Council on Aging with Wal-mart gift cards as part of their Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Outreach initiative. Chapter member Cynthia Streater presented the gift cards on behalf of the chapter and enjoyed spending time with familiar faces and meeting some new people.
Christmas Outreach On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the Chesterfield County Alumnae Chapter gifted five seniors at the Chesterfield County Council on Aging-Pageland Site with Wal-mart gift cards as part of their Holiday Outreach initiative. Chapter members Patricia B. Conway and Clarice Blakeney presented the gift cards on behalf of the chapter.
Adopt a School The Chesterfield County Alumnae Chapter adopted New Heights Middle School to aid the unique student needs Counseling and Student Support staff work to meet every day. To kickoff the 2024-2025 partnership, a $500 unrestricted donation was presented to Assistant Principal Laura Huggins and Principal Kevin Mabe on behalf of the Sorority by Chapter Members Clarice Blakeney and Patricia B. Conway. Chapter Members look forward to volunteering at New Heights Middle School throughout the remainder of the 2024- 2025 school year.
